18th to 20th - Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival
18th to 20th Pilot Cutter and Working Boat Championship Regatta held in St Mawes - these boats are all gaff rigged with colourful topsails and long bow sprits.  A delight to watch (see main picture above).  Viewing will be excellent from St Mawes Castle.

August
7th Falmouth Classics Regatta - Sailing boats racing in Carrick Roads
8th to 14th Falmouth Week Regatta.  Sailing Regatta in Carrick Roads (between Falmouth and St Mawes).
16th to 20th Junior Regatta in St Mawes - under 18 Regatta, all races sailed in St Mawes Bay.
22nd Percuil Regatta - great village regatta.
28th Portscatho Regatta

September
11th - St Mawes Fish Festival
26th - Nearwater Triathlon St Mawes - sprint Triathlon starting in the village at 10:00
