About Us

Your hosts Amelia and Tim Whitaker opened the doors of Nearwater on April 1st 2010 after a seven month refurbishment program. The accommodation has been designed using ideas they picked up both abroad (Amelia lived in New England for 7 years) and in the UK to produce a stylish and practical (Tim is an engineer) end result.

Tim and Amelia have long standing connections with the area. They met in a pub in St Mawes in 1985 and were married here a few years later in the nearby St Just church. They have holidayed in St Mawes every year since. They are delighted to have now moved to St Mawes permanently with their 3 teenage children and miniature dachshund called Musto and very much look forward to welcoming you to Nearwater.  They also run a walking holiday business www.nearwaterwalkingholidays.co.uk
