Your hosts Amelia and Tim Whitaker have created luxury bed and breakfast accommodation and a self catering annex with all the extras you might expect from a first class hotel.
Nearwater opened its doors on April 1st after a seven month refurbishment program. The accommodation has been designed using ideas they picked up both abroad (Amelia lived in New England for 7 years) and in the UK to produce a stylish and practical (Tim is an engineer) end result.
From the moment you arrive the thoughtful touches and attention to detail are what makes Nearwater special.
Your breakfast is served in a dining room that opens out onto a south facing terrace. Whenever possible guests can choose to have their breakfast outside. Amelia pride's herself on her breakfasts! You can choose a full English breakfast or the daily special.
St Mawes offers an abundance of activities from the physical (sailing, kayaking, swimming, cycling and more) to the more leisurely delights of gentle walks and trips to explore the many subtropical gardens for which Cornwall is famous.
Tim and Amelia have long standing connections with the area. They met in a pub in St Mawes in 1985 and were married here a few years later in the nearby St Just church. They have holidayed in St Mawes every year since. They are delighted to have now moved to St Mawes permanently with their 3 teenage children and miniature dachshund called Musto and very much look forward to welcoming you to Nearwater. They also run a walking holiday business www.nearwaterwalkingholidays.co.uk
